Re-manufactured hydraulic blocks

TECHNICAL

OEM-equivalent block production for machinery spare parts.

You have no drawing, but you have the part. In most projects that is enough.

When a hydraulic block fails on construction machinery, the problem is usually not the part itself but the fact that it cannot be obtained: the model is old, the lead time is long, or the part is no longer produced. Every day the machine waits is a cost. That is the situation OEM-equivalent block production is meant for.

Blocks remanufactured from measurements are tested before assembly and then delivered.

What do you have in hand?

In most cases there is no original technical drawing; all that exists is the dismantled block. That is enough to start work. The block is measured, its technical drawing is produced, and manufacturing goes ahead from that drawing.

If the block is damaged, the measuring is done more carefully: the original dimensions of the broken or worn areas are interpreted from the neighbouring surfaces and from the symmetry.

What is looked at when measuring?

  • Outside dimensions and mounting holes (the connection points to the machine)
  • Port positions, thread type and size
  • The standard and depth of the valve cavities
  • The route and diameters of the internal passages
  • Plug positions

The internal passages are the most technical part of this work, because they cannot be seen from the outside: the passage route is worked out starting from the ports and the cavities.

Valve equivalents

The cartridge valves on the block are assessed along with it. If the original valve cannot be obtained, an equivalent with the same cavity standard and similar flow and pressure figures can be selected. If the cavity standard matches, the valve brand can be changed without altering the block design.

OEM-equivalent block production and testing

Once the drawing is approved the block is machined, deburred and cleaned. The valves are fitted and, depending on the project, a pressure test of up to 350 bar is applied. In this way the part is checked before it is mounted on the machine.

Single pieces are produced too

OEM-equivalent block production is usually a single piece, and we have no minimum order quantity. The technical drawing produced during measuring is kept; when the same part is needed again later, the process starts not from measuring but directly from manufacturing.
