02 / OUR AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Precision machining.
NC drilling and grinding for repeatable production true to the drawing.
WHAT WE DO
We machine every dimension true to the technical drawing.
In line with the approved 3D model and technical drawing we plan the machining sequence, the clamping method and the tool paths. How many faces the manifold will be clamped from and which bore is machined in what order is settled before production.
We carry out NC drilling, machining and grinding on our own machine tools. Port bores, internal passage intersections and valve cavities are machined to the dimensions on the drawing.
We check the ports, the cavities and the machining tolerances by measurement. When the same part has to be produced again, we work with a recorded process that gives the same dimensions.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE MACHINE?
Every bore,
in a planned order.
The tool path sets in what order and to what depth the bores are drilled. When the order is right, the number of set-ups drops, the reference face is preserved and intersecting passages meet burr-free.
- 1Reference face and clamping
Which face the manifold is clamped from is settled before machining starts; all dimensions are taken from that face.
- 2NC drilling cycle
Port and passage bores are drilled to the order and depth on the drawing.
- 3Cavity and sealing face
Valve cavities are machined in steps and the sealing faces are ground.
MATERIAL OPTIONS
The right material
for the application.
We work with all of them. Crack detection is carried out at material intake; on request the material certificate is added to the delivery file.
| Material | Typical use | Key property |
|---|---|---|
| Ductile iron · EN-GJS-400 / 500 (GGG40 / GGG50) | Industrial and medium-to-high pressure manifolds | Good machinability, vibration damping |
| Carbon steel · C45 (CK45) | Manifolds under high pressure and shock loads | High strength |
| Aluminium · 6061 | Mobile applications where weight matters | Light weight, corrosion resistance |
| Aluminium · 7075 | Manifolds needing light weight but high strength | High strength among aluminium alloys |
FINISHING OPERATIONS
When machining ends,
the job is not over.
Deburring, cleaning and surface protection are applied before delivery.
DeburringBurrs left at passage intersections are removed mechanically or thermally so that they do not cause particle contamination in the system.
Washing and cleaningChips and oil residues in the passages are cleaned out before assembly.
Surface protectionDepending on the application, zinc or nickel coating on steel and anodising on aluminium can be applied.
PROCESS
A machined manifold
in four steps.
When the drawing reaches the machine, you know what is done in what order.
Work preparation and clampingWe plan the machining sequence, the clamping method and the tool paths from the technical drawing. Which face is taken as reference is decided here.
NC drillingWe machine the port and internal passage bores, the intersection angles and the depths in line with the drawing.
Cavity machining and grindingWe machine the valve cavities to the maker's standard and grind the sealing faces.
Dimensional checkWe check the ports, the cavities and the machining tolerances by measurement and record them.
TECHNICAL SCOPE
We work
with numbers.
The limits and outputs this service rests on.
| Scope | Value | Note |

| Machine park | CNC machining centres | NC drilling and grinding included |
| Manifold material | Ductile iron, C45 steel, 6061 / 7075 aluminium | Selected according to the application |
| Manifold size | According to the project | We confirm feasibility the same day with your drawing |
| Quantity range | From a single piece to series production | No minimum order |

About
machining.
If your question is not answered here,
contact us directly.
Is there a minimum order for a single piece?
No. We work with the same process from a single prototype piece to series production. Just share what you need and your drawing, if you have one.
I have no drawing, can you produce from an existing part?
Yes. We can measure a damaged or existing manifold and produce it again. In that case we first take the dimensions and draw up the technical drawing.
How do you verify the machining tolerance?
We check the ports, the cavities and the critical dimensions by measurement after production. Depending on the project a pressure test is applied as well.
Can I order machining only, without the design?
Yes. If you have an approved technical drawing we can go straight to production. If we see a manufacturability problem in the drawing, we tell you before production.
